PUBLIC NOTICE: REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SERVICES

South Central Planning and Development Commission (SCPDC) intends to apply for a grant under the U. S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration Public Works and Economic Adjustment Assistance Programs for the purpose of expanding its current building.  SCPDC is interested in procuring the services of an architectural and/or engineering firm to provide information necessary for the grant application packages and to provide preliminary architectural and engineering services, design, and inspections for this project if it is successfully funded.  The procedures for the selection of this firm will be in accordance with federal procurement requirements of the grant.  All responses received will be evaluated in accordance with the selection criteria and corresponding point system that is identified in the Request for Qualifications package.  That package also identifies the scope of services to be performed by the selected firm.  SCPDC will award the contract to the respondent obtaining the highest score in the evaluation process.  Interested parties are invited to secure a Request for Qualifications package from Pat Gordon, Chief Planning Official, South Central Planning and Development Commission telephone number 985-851-2900; street address, 5058 West Main Street Houma, LA. 70360, mailing address P. O. SCPDC is pleased to announce the agency is applying for a FY 2020 EPA Brownfields Assessment Grant that would allow it to take inventory of brownfield properties within the region, complete environmental assessment and raise awareness. If awarded, the $300,000 grant may be used to address sites contaminated by hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants (including hazardous substances co-mingled with petroleum) and petroleum. In South Central’s region are Lafourche, Terrebonne, Assumption, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist and St. Mary parishes.
