Opportunity Zones and Small Business Revolving Loan Programs

Investors, developers and small business owners need to know about Federal Tax Incentives and Small Business Resources that are available in your area.  The South Central Planning Region has 14 Federally designated Opportunity Zone census tracts that qualify for tax incentives related to Capital Gains.  The incentive will benefit a range of stakeholders and bring investment to low-income communities. Stakeholder meetings are being planned for each of the SCPDC parishes.  The goals encourage Long-Term capital investment in low-income urban and rural communities.  The projected outcome ends with equity and the launch of development projects that may not have otherwise happened.
