The Houma-Thibodaux Metropolitan Planning Organization is responsible for comprehensive transportation planning in the Houma-Thibodaux region. Members include local government officials as well as representatives from the LADOTD. South Central Regional Safety Coalition | Destination Zero Deaths

The South Central Regional Safety Coalition, in partnership with LADOTD and the Metropolitan Planning Organization, is working to drive down the number of fatalities and serious injuries occurring on our roadways through the implementation of its Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP). Local stakeholder participation is vital in implementing the vision of Destination Zero Deaths. The Coalition is made up of professionals in Engineering, Education, Enforcement, Emergency Medical Services, as well as the general public. Contact Cassie Parker for more information.

Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan

The Regional Transit Committee meets quarterly to address issues and discuss programs that further facilitate coordinated efforts by representatives of public, private, non-profit transportation and human service providers, and the public.
