Financial support helps create jobs, build communities

CLARKSDALE, Miss. – The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) is opening the 2017 application cycle to provide investments through its States’ Economic Development Assistance Program (SEDAP). The program is DRA’s primary investment tool to spur infrastructure improvements, help develop the Delta’s workforce and local businesses by enhancing regional economic opportunities in the 252 counties and parishes it serves.

In 2017, DRA will continue to offer investment opportunities through the Community Infrastructure Fund (CIF), which began last year and provides an opportunity for DRA to better support local infrastructure in Delta communities.

“DRA’s investments are directed and guided by efforts to improve economic development, strengthen the Delta economy, and enhance the quality of life for the 10 million residents we serve,” said DRA Chairman Chris Masingill.  “We will continue to work together with our governors and local economic development districts in each state to support the projects that have the greatest ability to support jobs creation, and strengthen communities. These investments reflect local priorities that are recommended by stakeholders and residents throughout the region.” Continue Reading Delta Regional Authority Press Release.
