South Central Planning & Development Commission is seeking a Property Custodian for its Houma offices. This position is responsible for preforming routine building and grounds maintenance. This includes, but not limited to, grass cutting, pressure washing, painting, minor plumbing jobs, minor electrical task and small carpentry projects.  This position is also responsible for overseeing any contracted services related to larger property repairs and maintenance. In addition to those tasks, the Property Custodian will also oversee the agency’s general fleet maintenance. The individual should possess a high school diploma as a minimum with at least 2 years’ experience working in facility maintenance and a basic understanding of electrical plumbing and carpentry is a plus.  The candidate must also have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record as well as pass a preemployment drug screen and physical. Starting pay will be approximately $19.00 – $26.00 an hour depending on experience. Benefits include retirement, health/dental/vision/life insurance, paid holidays, vacation & sick leave. South Central Planning & Development Commission is seeking an Assistant Field Manager in the Northern Louisiana area for its statewide Small Business Recovery loan programs.  The main responsibility of the Assistant Field Manager is to provide direct oversight of outreach center(s) in Northern Louisiana (Shreveport/Monroe/Alexandria). This includes overseeing staff productivity & loan application intake workflow, as well as staff schedules at those locations.  Thes assistant manager is responsible for understanding and implementing state & federal programmatic guidelines. Responsibilities also include assisting the manager with promoting the small business recovery loan programs to local businesses and overseeing lease requirements for those specified outreach centers. This position may be called upon to attend and assist in making presentations at public meetings.  Minimum qualifications should include a High School Diploma with at least 5 years’ experience with similar governmental programs. Prior parish, municipal or regional experience a plus. Knowledge of business lending is also a plus. This position is a full- time temporary, salaried position with fringe benefits. Benefits include retirement, health/dental/vision/life insurance, paid holidays, vacation & sick leave. Starting Pay will be approximately $67,600 – $85,000 annually depending on qualification level and experience. SCPDC is an EOE/AAE.

Responsibilities also include promoting the small business recovery loan programs to local businesses and overseeing lease requirements for those outreach centers. The manager will work directly with their department head and CEO related to developing and implementing the program goals, objectives, & procedures.  The manager must also possess excellent communication skills, as well as be comfortable with public speaking.  This position may be called upon to attend and make presentations at public meetings.  Minimum qualifications should include a High School Diploma with at least 10 years’ experience with similar governmental programs. Prior parish, municipal or regional experience a plus. Knowledge of business lending is also a plus. This position is a full- time temporary, salaried position with fringe benefits. Benefits include retirement, health/dental/vision/life insurance, paid holidays, vacation & sick leave. Starting Pay will be approximately $83,000 – $115,000 annually depending on qualification level and experience. SCPDC is an EOE/AAE.

South Central Planning & Development Commission is seeking an Accounting Technician. The Accounting Technician’s main duty is to handle processing small batches of payables, data entry, balancing various spreadsheets & statements, running errands, and assisting with other office related task. The individual should possess a high school diploma and have 2 years’ minimum of similar work experience. They must also possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. The ideal candidate would be proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word).  This is a full-time, hourly position with permanent status and fringe benefits. Starting pay will be approximately $16.00 – $20.00 an hour depending on experience. Benefits include health/dental/vision/life insurance, retirement, paid holidays, vacation & sick leave. SCPDC is an EOE/ AAE
